A
native
of
suburban
Philadelphia,
Dr.
Hoffrichter
completed
his
bachelors
degree
at
the
University
of
Pittsburgh
in
Pittsburgh,
Pennsylvania,
where
he
graduated
in
1991.
After
finishing
his
four
years
of
dental
training
at
the
New
York
University
College
of
Dentistry
in
1995,
he
continued
on
to
pursue
specialty
training
in
the
field
of
oral
and
maxillofacial
surgery
at
the
Washington
Hospital
Center
in
Washington,
DC,
and
surrounding
area
hospitals.
This
four
year
hospital-based
residency
program
offered
excellent
exposure
to
all
aspects
of
oral
and
maxillofacial
surgery.
Dr.
Hoffrichter's
training
included
extensive
work
in
acute
shock/trauma
and
the
management
of
facial
injuries.
He
also
spent
six
months
as
a
member
of
the
Cleft
Palate
/
Craniofacial
team
at
Children's
National
Medical
Center
in
Washington,
DC.
Upon
completion
of
his
residency
training
in
1999,
Dr.
Hoffrichter
moved
to
Newport,
Rhode
Island,
to
accept
an
associate
position
in
private
practice.
In
late
2000,
he
moved
back
to
Maryland,
and
now
lives
in
Frederick
County
with
his
wife,
Barri,
their
children
and
their
cat.
In
2003,
Dr.
Hoffrichter
completed
the
requirements
for
Board
Certification
by
the
American
Board
of
Oral
&
Maxillofacial
Surgery.
He
is
currently
the
Section
Chief
of
the
Division
of
Oral
&
Maxillofacial
Surgery
at
Frederick
Memorial
Hospital.
